We’re excited to welcome all Great Oaks Legacy Charter School students for the 2021-22 school year on August 9th, 2021!
Recently, the New Jersey Department of Health & New Jersey Department of Education released “The Road Forward: Health and Safety Guidance for the 2021-2022 School Year”. In addition, on July 9th, the CDC released updated Guidance for COVID-19 Protection in K-12 Schools. We are using the updated state and CDC guidance, and ongoing communication with state and local officials, to inform our 2021-22 school year planning.
As outlined by the NJ Department of Health and NJ Department of Education, schools will open for students in-person this fall. All GOLCS students will return to full-time, in-person instruction, five days per week for the 2021-2022 school year with a regular, full-length school day. In addition, the state of New Jersey has mandated that schools reopen this fall without remote learning as an option.
At this time vaccinations will not be required for eligible students; however, this policy is subject to change if there is new guidance from health or government officials. We will also keep you informed about any upcoming vaccine clinics hosted by our schools and recommend that those interested in becoming vaccinated head to New Jersey’s Vaccine Appointment Finder site for more information.
You will receive more information about the upcoming school year from your child’s school in the weeks to come.
